Yehudit Silverman, M.A. R-DMT, RDT is the Chair of the Creative Arts Therapies Department of Concordia University, Montreal, Quebec. She is a registered Dance/Movement Therapist, Drama Therapist, and documentary filmmaker. Her film, The Story Within: myth and fairytale in therapy, based on her original therapeutic approach, screened internationally at conferences, Universities, and television. Her award winning film, The Hidden Face of Suicide, screened in cinemas, film festivals and conferences internationally and was recently featured on PBS television (see interview) www.youtube.com/watch?v=LFAOnut9B-I

She received several Federal, Provincial, University grants, the 2009 NADTA Research Award and published articles, book chapters, and presents her work internationally. She developed the Seeds of Hope project an innovative collaboration with the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and several diverse communities that aims to raise awareness about how suicide affects families, loved ones and communities. Her current film project Interfaith Arts Dialogue brings together Jewish, Christian, and Muslim communities to work together through the arts.

She offers major presentations, workshops, training and supervision for support workers, therapists and other health professionals in how to use the arts for healing, therapy, resiliency and cross-cultural and interfaith dialogue. For more information www.yehuditsilverman.com
