Sherry Reiter, PhD, PTR-M/S, RDT-BCT, LCSW, is the Director of The Creative Righting Center, a program training helping professionals to utilize expressive writing for healing and personal growth. She is a pioneer in the field of poetry therapy, having served as President of The National Association for Poetry Therapy, and The International Federation for Biblio/Poetry Therapy. Sherry has won numerous awards for her work with marginal populations, as well as the Teacher of the Year award for Touro College. Her work is represented in Writing Away the Demons: Stories of Creative Coping Through Transformative Writing (North Star Press, 2009).
