Elaine Cowen, PsyD, LMFT, APN, is a licensed psychologist, family therapist, and an advanced practice nurse whose work focuses on providing effective trauma treatment in underserved populations. She has been instrumental in the development of a skills-based trauma program, incorporating DBT, sensorimotor psychotherapy, and structural dissociation. Elaine is currently an assistant clinical instructor at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and is employed at Princeton Medical Center.
