Processing Countertransference Dreams With Expressive Art Materials

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

ROOM 712

A countertransference dream is any dream that a therapist has in which a patient appears. This seminar-style 90-minute workshop will offer participants an opportunity to explore expressive art materials to create visual metaphors using imagery from their countertransference dreams. These dreams are considered to be a rich source of countertransference material, and can be used to tap into relevant unconscious content. Once thought to be a detriment to treatment, countertransference—if processed properly—can become a vital source of information about patients and the clinical process.
