Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

ROOM 712

Yoga, like psychoanalysis, is for almost everybody—including those who prefer to remain in chairs. But what exactly is yoga therapy? How are yoga and psychoanalysis alike? This workshop begins with a discussion of different yoga positions and their psychoanalytic echoes, followed by an hour-long seated yoga session. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss and provide feedback on the seated yoga experience, and together will explore the combined application of yoga therapy and psychoanalysis for various clinical populations. This presentation is suitable for both beginners and seasoned yoga practitioners.

Eligible for 1.5 Credits: ATCB, NBCC; ASWB, APA, MFT, Nursing
