ROOM 808

Once considered mere child’s play, hula hooping is now a popular art form, and an effective tool for fitness and movement. In this 90-minute workshop, participants will learn about the use of the hula hoop as a therapeutic tool, and how to integrate it into clinical practice for different ages and settings. The workshop will explore the physical, emotional, and psychological benefits of hooping, as well as the metaphorical implications of the hoop. Specific hooping techniques for individual and group settings will be introduced. No previous experience is necessary, and hoops will be provided. Please wear comfortable clothing.
