Fostering a Resilient Mindset In Children & Their Families

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

ROOM 714

This 90-minute workshop will provide an overview of the Strengths-Based model and its practical applications for doing psychotherapy with children and their families. Utilization of a Strengths-Based model encourages the therapist to be creative and ‘think outside the box’ in developing interventions. Rather than focus on fixing deficits, the emphasis is on harnessing the existing capabilities of the client to bring about sustained growth and to develop a resilient mindset. Participants will be introduced to theory, case examples, and empirically-based interventions to illustrate how this model can nurture positive changes in children and their families in a variety of settings.

Eligible for 1.5 Credits: ATCB, NBCC; ASWB, APA, MFT, Nursing; SWNYS
