As possibilities in social media and mobile technology continue to expand, the 21st-century family must confront a whole new set of challenges that include online pornography, excessive texting, sexting, bullying text messages, and other inappropriate and harmful uses of technology. Moreover, therapists are increasingly sought out to assist families in managing these issues. This lunchtime session will provide an overview of the various technology-related behaviors that can lead to a higher risk of victimization and conflict. Participants will learn about assessment tools, prevention skills, and arts-based family therapy techniques to help families address these issues safely and effectively.
