Stones and rocks have been used as sacred symbols since ancient times, and can be used as a powerful healing tool for clinicians working with any population, including children and families. In this interactive workshop, participants will gain a handful of simple yet effective play therapy interventions that can help clients build a variety of life skills, from decreasing anxiety and verbalizing feelings, to fostering resiliency and making connections. This 90-minute workshop will explore the creative use of stones and rocks in the therapeutic practice through storytelling, game play, sandtray, mandalas, and other group activities that simply rock!

Eligible for 1.5 Credits: ATCB, NBCC; ASWB, APA, MFT, Nursing; SWNYS
